Simone Iomo is a multidisciplinary artist. After graduating from the Department of Art, Music and Drama of the University of Bologna, in 2008 he moved to London where he began his research and experimentation with painting and where he had a way to test himself with non-canonical artistic media. His research results in a unique and easily recognizable style where the subject itself often becomes a mystified object for an expressive and symbolic purpose.

 

The focus of his work is the recurring themes of art in history

and the meaning they assume in culture, with a particular emphasis on the trait and the pictorial sign and the continuous dialogue existing between different styles and currents in a globalized world without real boundaries.
